  12. I'm not an expert for insects, Birgitta, but as far as I know you shot a insect called hoverfly. Hoverflies are harmless to most other animals despite their mimicry of more dangerous wasps and bees, which serves to ward off predators.

  14. Yep, that is a hoverfly! We've had a great number of them here in England this summer, but they went very suddenly with the first cold night, poor things. The bees are also gone. Sad ... but they will be back next year.
