Alces alces

This winter we have so much snow so the wild animals seek food ( trees, branches and bushes, ) in the village. The snow is so deep in the woods. This elk/moose with "baby" was visiting our neighbour.

  5. Oh wow, that is incredible, I hope they got something good to eat. I haven't even seen deer in the yards lately.

  6. I am so jealous! I adore moose and am always looking for them where we live in Montana. In the 9 months that we have been here, I have only seen one! This is such a loving shot with the Mom and baby!

  7. ·.
I suppose it has to be an extraordinary experience, seen with the eyes of someone who will never have such an experience.
    Your photos, as always, fantastic.

  8. Poor Moose - must be hungry. But I'm happy I got to see them through your photos.

  9. So sweet! The moose don't seem afraid of being around human structures.

  10. Cute but probably do a lot of damage in gardens. We don't live in moose territory but have lots of deer that love to come into town for good garden snacks. - Margy

  13. Oh what a great opportunity to get a photo. You must be having a harsh winter if mom and calf were willing to get so close to houses.
